3D models for your Fortnite island, with Meshy or Blender

Island Pilot makes the 3D models for your Fortnite island in two ways: by generating them with your own Meshy account, or by modeling them in Blender on your PC. The 3D Modeler then follows the model all the way into UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite), checking what actually lands in the editor.

You only need one of the two, and neither is required to use Island Pilot. For Blender, Island Pilot installs the Blender Lab MCP add-on in the versions it detects; you just enable it and test the connection. Blender and Meshy are set up from the same panel as your own MCP servers, with the same per-agent access.

Generate a 3D model with Meshy

Island Pilot calls Meshy’s API directly from its Rust core, with no server in between. The 3D Modeler handles generation from text or an image, then transformations: remeshing, texturing, UV unwrapping, format conversion, resizing.

  1. Preview: a first geometry, untextured.
  2. Refine: texturing of that geometry, only if you ask for it.
  3. Preview in Island Pilot: the GLB shows up in the conversation.
  4. Export to the project: the file is saved in your project folder without overwriting any existing file.

An image attached to your request can serve as a reference. And if a Meshy response is uncertain (network drop, timeout), the agent checks your task list before creating anything: a paid generation is never blindly launched twice.

Model in Blender, then import into UEFN

With Blender, the agent inspects the scene and then works in small scripts: geometry, materials named after the future UEFN slots, UVs, FBX export. It keeps the editable source.

For the import, it uses the tools the editor exposes, then checks the result: size compared with the source (1 Blender meter is 100 UEFN centimeters), orientation, materials, collision. A saved Blender scene doesn’t update UEFN by itself, and a downloaded file is not an imported asset: the report states the exact stage reached.

  • “Generate a stylized low-poly barber chair with Meshy.”
  • “Model a kit of 4-meter modular walls in Blender and import it into UEFN.”
  • “Remove the collision from these decorative rocks.”

Rigging, animation and materials

Other specialists take over when the model needs to move or shine. The Rigging Artist sets up skeletons, weights and controls in Blender or through Meshy’s rigging; the Animation Artist creates or adapts animation, including from Meshy’s animation library and text-to-motion. The Material Artist tunes materials and textures once the model is in the editor.

Every generation is tracked in the Assets library with its versions and source chat.

Limits, plainly stated

  • An auto-generated rig is never presented as production-ready: deformation gets checked in extreme poses.
  • Importing into UEFN depends on the tools your editor version exposes; importing sounds and fonts stays manual.
  • “Imported into UEFN” and “tested” are only ticked in the library with proof you confirm.
  • Meshy and Blender are third-party services and software, under their own terms.

FAQ

Do I need a Meshy subscription to make 3D models?

No, Meshy is optional. If you use it, Island Pilot goes through your own API key and uses your account’s credits. Without Meshy, the agent can model in Blender, free, on your PC.

Is the model imported into UEFN automatically?

Not automatically when a generation finishes. The 3D Modeler imports the file with the editor’s tools when you ask, then checks the resulting asset: size, orientation, materials, collision.

Can I start from an image?

Yes. Attach the image to your request: it’s copied into the project and can be used as the reference for a Meshy image-to-3D generation.

Does Island Pilot replace Blender?

No, it drives it. Blender stays your software, and the agent uses it through the Blender Lab MCP add-on. Island Pilot is a one-time purchase: see pricing.
