An AI agent team that builds your Fortnite island
Island Pilot gives you an AI agent team that works directly inside your UEFN (Unreal Editor for Fortnite) project. An orchestrator splits your request, hands each part to the right specialist and reads their reports before moving on.
One orchestrator and 14 specialist AI agents for UEFN
Instead of one generalist assistant, Island Pilot spreads the work across profiles that each know their trade. Every agent has its own instructions, Skills, allowed tools, AI provider, model and reasoning effort. All of it is customizable: avatar, instructions, tools, model.
| Agent | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Orchestrator | Plans, delegates, checks the reports |
| Verse Coder | Gameplay code, devices, persistence, compile errors |
| Level Designer | Blockouts, routes, cover, spawns |
| UI Designer and UI Engineer | HUDs, menus and branding, then UEFN widgets wired to Verse |
| 3D Modeler, Rigging Artist, Animation Artist | Models, skeletons and animation with Meshy or Blender |
| Material Artist, Niagara VFX, Sound Designer | Materials, visual effects, audio |
| NPC Author | Characters, behaviors and encounters |
| Tester and Reviewer | Test checklists and files, read-only review |
| Trend Analyst | Scores the islands and games you select |
Ask, Plan, Agent: three modes for three needs
- Ask: ask a question about your island. Read-only, nothing changes.
- Plan: the agent drafts a plan from your goal. Also read-only, and no specialist is launched.
- Agent: the agent creates and edits with its tools. This is the only mode where the orchestrator delegates.
In all three modes, every tool call shows up in Activity. File writes and edits go through your approvals, following each connection’s settings.
How the orchestrator splits the work
Take a real request: “Add a coin shop to my tycoon: two upgrade buttons by the counter, and save coins between sessions.”
- The orchestrator reads your goal and the state of the project, then publishes a plan of 1 to 12 steps.
- It gives each subtask to a specialist as a bounded mission: starting point, deliverable, expected checks and 1 to 3 relevant Skills.
- Independent tasks run in parallel, one per specialist: shop logic and saved coins to the Verse Coder, the buttons to the Level Designer, the purchase test checklist to the Tester.
- It reads each report before starting a step that depends on it.
- If a specialist needs you, you answer in its conversation; the orchestrator then picks up on its own with the reports.
Each specialist keeps its own permissions. The Reviewer, for instance, stays read-only even when the orchestrator asks it for a review.
Talk to a specialist directly, or @mention it
You don’t have to go through the orchestrator. The “+” button in the Agents & conversations panel opens a free conversation or one with a given specialist, with its model and reasoning effort.
In a conversation, the @ menu lists the project’s agents, the Skills assigned to them and the tools they are allowed to use. A mention steers the request: it doesn’t switch profiles, launch another agent or change any permission.
For context, attach images, videos, documents or 3D models up to 50 MB, paste links or let the agent search the web. Code goes through Verse that compiles, interfaces through the UI Design tab.
Limits set up front
- Delegations per request
- 1 to 12, set in the orchestrator’s profile (3 by default)
- Steps for a delegated specialist
- 8 tool steps at most
- Nested delegation
- Not possible: a delegated specialist never launches another agent
- Agents working at once
- 1 to 6 (3 by default)
When the step budget runs out, the work is flagged as unfinished, never as a success. Specialist calls use your AI provider’s quota on top of the orchestrator’s: the caps keep that cost bounded, but don’t guarantee a fixed price. Model choices live on the AI models page.
FAQ
Do I need to know Verse to use the agents?
No. You describe what you want in plain English, and the Verse Coder writes and compiles the code. Being able to read the result helps you review changes, but it isn’t required.
Can several agents edit the same island at once?
Yes, 1 to 6 depending on your setting. Each agent reserves what it edits (asset, actor, Verse file, Blender scene) until its mission ends, and a build waits for the others to finish their current editor step.
Can the agents break my project?
Edits go through checks: the hash of the file read before any write, your island’s identity, and approvals based on your settings. An action with an unknown result blocks further edits until the real state has been read again.
